Simon Welch
Simon is the Principal dentist and owner of the Fitz Park Dental Practice. He has owned the Practice in Keswick since 2002 and has carried out extensive renovation and modernisation work sympathetic to the building which has been an established dental practice for over one hundred years.
The team comprises of Associate Dentist Giles Harrison, Practice Manger Lindsey Welch, hygienists, six dental nurses and two receptionists. Prior to this he was a partner in a thriving NHS practice in Whitehaven.
Simon is a keen runner and cyclist, and when not at work or with the children both he and Lindsey are happiest outdoors.
Simon qualified as a dentist from the Royal London Hospital in 1998. He has since been on several advanced restorative, cosmetic and implant courses and is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology. Simon has been placing and restoring dental implants since 2007.
He enjoys all aspects of dental practice and gains great satisfaction in following treatments through from the planning stage to the final results. Simon says, “I feel that it is important that the Practice should have an open and friendly feel as this creates an environment which is more relaxed. This is appreciated by all of our patients but in particular those who are nervous. Many of our patients have been attending the Practice for years. I take great pride in the fact that the business is family run.”
We have carefully picked the members of staff to complement our great team. The staff at the Practice have been with us for many years and patients appreciate seeing a familiar face. All patients are welcome whether they are families looking for preventative and general dental care or those who want something more specific such as cosmetic and surgical treatments including crowns, veneers and implants. We are also able to provide more advanced treatments such as All-on-4 and Zygoma implants due to our close working relationship with Richard Brookshaw, a highly skilled implant surgeon who teaches and lectures both nationally and internationally.”
